MORE Now Available at Loose Id

I’m delighted to announce that my first release, More, is now available at Loose Id. It was a long journey to get here, and I’m thrilled to see More hit the digital shelves for readers.

Many thanks to everyone at Loose Id who helped with this book. Special thanks to my editor, Antonia Pearce (you rock!!), for all the wonderful input and to April Martinez for the gorgeous cover.

Also a big thanks to my local RWA chap mates at MVRWA for all the support and encouragement over the last several months. And last (but certainly not least) to my sweetie for all the love and support to get here.

More is available for purchase at www.loose-id.com/More.aspx

I hope those of you who buy a copy enjoy the read. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed writing it.

Many thanks,
Sloan Parker

Video I Love: The Future of Publishing

Once a week, I post a video I’m loving. Here’s this week’s…

This video was made for a DK Marketing conference. It was inspired from another film called “The Lost Generation.” You can read more about the making of “The Future of Publishing” here.

Be sure to watch all the way to the end. Pretty cool.

Come join the fun next week at Romance Lives Forever

Hello. Hope everyone is doing well and is as happy as I am today. Tuesday (March 23) is release day for More at Loose Id! I couldn’t be more excited to see my first book available for others to read.

To help celebrate I’m joining with other authors at Kayelle Allen’s two-day party (March 23 and 24) on her yahoo group, Romance Lives Forever. You’re all invited to come join the fun. I’ll be posting an excerpt and giving away a free copy of More.

Kayelle writes both m/m and m/f romances. She has two releases next week: At the Mercy of Her Pleasure on 3/23 and The Last Vhalgenn in audiobook from AudioLark on 3/24. She’s also a 2010 EPIC Award Winner in Erotic SciFi Romance. Congrats, Kayelle! And thank you for the invite to your party.

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.

Now that’s a class act!

Once a week I post about something I’m loving (tv, movies, books, art, photos, romances, authors, or anything else). So here is this week’s For the Love of…

Today I’m loving Julianne Moore. She’s filmed her cameo appearance on “As the World Turns” to help say goodbye to her old daytime soap (her role on ATWT ran from 1985-88). ATWT will be ending its 54-year run later this year. You can see a photo of her on the ATWT’s set at Zap2it. Her appearance will air on April 5.

Not many Academy Award nominated actresses would take the time to return to their former daytime career. Pretty classy of her.

Oh and she’s just plain gorgeous, so yeah I’m kind of a fan. ;)

Cheers to her and Happy Friday to all my blog followers,
Sloan Parker

Quote I Love: Numb by Linkin Park

Here’s this week’s quote I love…

Sometimes when I’m writing I listen to music. Occasionally a song will remind me of a character I’m writing about. Then whenever I hear that song, I’m right back into the story, into the character’s head. I find myself listening to it over and over.

I’ve found several songs that really hit home when it came to my book More.

“Numb” by Linkin Park fits Luke in so many ways. Since More is releasing next week, I thought it was the perfect time to post some of the song’s lyrics for my quote of the week. There’s also a video below if you want to listen.

“I’m tired of being what you want me to be
Feeling so faithless
Lost under the surface
I don’t know what you’re expecting of me
Put under the pressure
Of walking in your shoes

Every step that I take is another mistake to you

All I want to do
Is be more like me
And be less like you

Can’t you see that you’re smothering me
Holding too tightly
Afraid to lose control
‘Cause everything that you thought I would be
Has fallen apart right in front of you

-Numb by Linkin Park

Hope you have a great day! Cheers,
Sloan Parker
