Some Love Stories Can Change the World

“From acclaimed writer/director Jeff Nichols, “Loving” celebrates the real-life courage and commitment of an interracial couple, Richard and Mildred Loving (Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga), who married and then spent the next nine years fighting for the right to live as a family in their hometown. Their civil rights case, Loving v. Virginia, went all the way to the Supreme Court, which in 1967 reaffirmed the very foundation of the right to marry.” – Focus Features

I cannot wait to see this movie. A real-life love story that serves as a reminder that love is an unstoppable force. It’s stronger than hatred and discrimination. It’s stronger than unjust laws and bigotry and intolerance.

Thank you to all the brave people like the Lovings who fought injustice and won.

What a Sweet Love Story

Love And Petals

I just adore love stories where one person secretly holds a torch for the other, and in the end they get to be together.

This one is a true story: A son tweeted about his parents’ unusual love story. Make sure you flip through the pictures with the son’s tweets to see their full story unfold.
