“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.” ― Haruki Murakami

2018 M/M Romance Summer Reading Challenge
We are getting ready to head into summer here in the northern hemisphere, and I thought it might be fun to create a summer reading challenge for readers of M/M Romances. The image below includes 20 book categories to spark ideas for your summer reading list.
If you give the challenge a try, I’d love to hear how it goes. Share your progress on social media and tag me in the post, comment below, or just shoot me an email.
Good luck to anyone who decides to give this fun summer reading challenge a try!
ETA: Start any time. Ends September 21st.
Romance Writer’s Toolkit Update: New Character Sketch Sheet, Character Name List, and more
I’m in the process of revamping and adding new materials to the Romance Writer’s Toolkit section of my website.
The following worksheets were recently added:
- Scene List – Keep track of your novel’s scenes, including each scene’s POV, purpose, setting, and more in this downloadable worksheet.
- Character Sketch Sheet – Includes loads of questions to create a customizable character sketch.
- Character Name List – Featuring 900 ideas for character first names. Also track which names you’ve already used in this handy spreadsheet.
I hope many of you fellow writers out there find these tools helpful. I’ll be adding more names to the character name list and adding additional worksheets to the site soon, so be sure to check back.
