I saw this video last week thanks to Michael’s Gay Thought. Great song. I love the lyrics.
Anne Feeney and Evan Greer – Been To Jail For Justice?

Have you been to jail for justice? I haven’t…yet.
Maybe it should go on my bucket list.

Saw this on Geoffrey Knight’s blog and just had to share. It’s 10,000 Maniacs when they performed “Because The Night” on MTV Unplugged.
Natalie Merchant’s voice always moves me. Still does. There’s just something so sensual and sexy about it. “Because the night belongs to lovers…” Enjoy!

This video is a teaser for an online soap opera-style series called Venice. Venice follows the life of a gay female interior designer. I just started watching the show this weekend.
I love this song. Not sure why, but it puts me in a gushy, romantic mood every time I hear it.

You can read more about Venice here: www.venicetheseries.com. Has anyone watched it yet? What did you think?
Thanks for stopping by,

I just finished re-watching both seasons of The Magnificent Seven TV series on DVD, so I thought I would share a video. This series ran from 1998 to 2000 and was inspired by the film of the same name.
This show was a fav of mine back in the day. Gorgeous men willing to put their lives on the line to save innocent people…and each other. So much slashy goodness. The one and only fan fiction slash I’ve ever read (about any characters) was a short love scene between Ezra and Vin. I can’t recall who write it, but it was delicious.
Enjoy the video. It’s a compilation of Vin, Ezra, and Buck set to “Blaze of Glory” by Jon Bon Jovi. It’s a bit long and the quality’s not the best, but the guys are still great to watch.

Anyone else watch the show? Who was your favorite pairing? Come on, I know you all had dreams about these guys. Share.

The 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics are almost here, so I thought I’d share this video which combines Sarah McLachlan and figure skating. McLachlan (a Vancouver native) wrote “One Dream” to be use for the Olympics.
I admire these athletes. Amazing talent and beauty and they do it all on ice…which hurts like crazy if you fall on it, trust me.
I love the lyrics…
“And you know that you can make it
You’ve got the whole world in your hands
And you’ve spent a lifetime working for this moment
And you are shining
You’re all that you wanted to be”
Motivation for anyone with a dream. Beautiful song. Beautiful skating. Enjoy!

Elmo and Hugh Jackman are talking about concentration. And let me say, that is some concentration. Elmo kinda looks constipated. But Hugh Jackman is one of the finest looking men alive. How many guys can make talking to a puppet look sexy? There is not one inch of that man’s body I don’t want to…wait, I think I’m sharing too much here. Enjoy the video. It’s cute.

Here’s a video of Deniz & Roman from Alles was zählt (All That Matters), a German soap opera, set to the song “Now and Forever.” This one is lovely, especially the parts at the end with them on the couch. Nice!

Has anyone watched the show? The clips with English subtitles are on YouTube if you’re interested. I’ve seen a few episodes but haven’t had the time to go back through all of them. I’ve heard great things about their storyline. If you’ve seen it or start watching it in the future let me know what you think. I’d love to hear about it.

With so much news of sadness, despair, and devastation in Haiti, it was nice to see this video with a miraculous rescue and a happy ending. I can only imagine what it was like for those boys and everyone else waiting for news.

“For five days and 12 hours, Michael and Ricky Dittmer had been waiting for word from their mother in Haiti.”
It all just breaks my heart. I get to the point where I don’t want to turn on the TV. Then I feel incredibly guilty over that avoidance. May we soon see an end to the suffering. May all the survivors know peace and comfort and love.
Once a week, I post about something I’m loving (tv, movies, books, art, photos, romances, authors, or anything else) that I’ve seen or read about recently. So here is this week’s For the Love of …
I’m sharing more videos this week. Sometimes a great animal story can just make my day. Thanks to Rosie for sharing these with me.
This first one reminds me of my cat Hunter. He’s pretty good at giving kisses, and I don’t use any food as a reward. I’m not sure if that means Hunter is really smart, or really stupid. Or maybe I am because I let him lick my cheek.
This one shows baby raccoons being rescued from a vending machine. Awww, come on, you know it’s cute. Baby raccoons. You can say it…
Here’s one about an amazing dog named Faith. A few years ago, I saw the story of how her owners taught her to walk on two legs. It wasn’t an easy task. It took them many hours working with her and a lot of lost sleep (so she wouldn’t hurt herself). Amazing. Now she’s helping recovering veterans. Pretty cool.
You can read more about Faith on her site: http://faiththedog.info (be sure to check out her puppy pic)
And here’s a pic of Faith with Rick Springfield for my friend Connie. Enjoy, hon!
Have a good one!

When I was a kid, The A-Team was one of the many shows my dad and I used to watch together (he and I have always had similar tastes in movies and TV shows). But it wasn’t just me and my dad. The A-Team was such a hit with my friends and me, we wrote our own version titled The B-Team, which we videotaped for a class project. Yeah, we were dorks (but it was a classroom-forced dorkness which we used to create a kick-ass rendition of a popular TV show, thus making us look cool). That project was one of my earliest writing credits. Wish I could remember what our episode was about. Something to do with helping the oppressed and huge-ass explosions (which, of course, we couldn’t replicate).
I saw this video and just had to share. It brings together the theme from The A-Team and Star Wars. Just perfect. And something about it definitely screams The B-Team.
