Quote I Love: The most wonderful of all things in life

Here’s this week’s quote I love…

Yes, I’m posting another quote about love this week. I’m a hopeless romantic. I freely admit it.

“The most wonderful of all things in life is the discovery of another human being with whom one’s relationship has a growing depth, beauty and joy as the years increase. This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvellous thing; it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it. It is a sort of divine accident, and the most wonderful of all things in life.”

-Sir Hugh Walpole

Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week and that love accidentally finds you if it hasn’t already.

Quote I Love: Playing Gay

Here’s this week’s quote I love…

“People sometimes think I’m gay because I once played a gay in a movie. It’s funny. Audiences don’t think you’re a murderer if you play a murderer, but they do think you’re gay if you play a gay.”

-Perry King

Anyone have any thoughts on why this might be true?

Hope everyone is having a nice week!

Quote I Love: Forgiveness

Here’s this week’s quote I love…

I’m getting closer to finishing my manuscript for Breathe. Today I finished another read through the final pages, making a few edits and tweaks hear and there, and I ended up in tears at the end. I love these guys, love their journey, love their relationship. I’m a sap. And a sucker for my own work. Not sure what that means, but I’m hoping it’s a good thing.

So for my quote today, I wanted to post a few of my favorites about forgiveness, a major theme in Breathe.

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
-Mahatma Gandhi

“To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.”
-Lewis B. Smedes

“Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future.”
-Paul Boese

Some things are more difficult to forgive than others, but sometimes we hold on to the smallest of slights and that does us more harm than we know. One thing I’ve learned through the process of writing this book is that I hope I can learn to forgive more easily.

Have a great day!

Quote I Love: Sleep Talkin’ Man

Have you heard about Sleep Talkin’ Man?

His wife records him while he talks in his sleep, then posts the messages on their blog. He lives a “colorful existence in his dreams” usually cursing and saying random oddities. My sweetie follows the blog and sends me her favorite ones. It makes for a humorous break when I’m working.

So today I thought I’d share the link and a few recent messages from Sleep Talkin’ Man:

“Fuck me, fuck you. Simple choice, really.”
“Everybody wriggle. Everybody wriggle. It’s maggot mayhem.”
“My ass and my personality are the same thing. Huge and in your face.”

– Sleep Talkin’ Man

Quote I Love: Footprints on our Hearts

Here’s this week’s quote I love…

After a short break I’m back to editing my next book Breathe, and so I thought I’d use a quote today that says something to me about the story, the characters, and their relationship.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.

– Flavia Weedn

This isn’t an exact fit, but it does capture a lot of what the story means to me.

Hope you all meet someone today who will leave a footprint on your heart.
