Quote I Love: Peeling an Onion

Here’s this week’s quote I love…

This one really speaks to me about the process of discovery involved in writing and editing fiction.

“The work was like peeling an onion. The outer skin came off with difficulty… but in no time you’d be down to its innards, tears streaming from your eyes as more and more beautiful reductions became possible.”

Quote I Love: One Chance at Today

Here’s this week’s quote I love…

“Time is limited, so I better wake up every morning fresh and know that I have just one chance to live this particular day right, and to string my days together into a life of action, and purpose.”

-Lance Armstrong

I had several days in a row this week filled with inspiration for my latest work in progress. It felt great because the week before was filled with frustration. Writing is hard, like really hard sometimes. And it’s even harder when I’m in a bad mood. So I try to start each writing session with the most positive attitude I can muster, try to start each day with optimism. Sometimes that doesn’t always work out, but I try.

Quotes like this one help remind me of that. I hope they inspire (or at least entertain) you as well.

Quote I Love: Homosexuality has a face

Here’s this week’s quote I love…

I think these go well together so I decided to share two quotes this week.

“Homosexuality has a face. I see it every time I look at my sweet father.”  -Jenny Rain

“Nothing in my life has been more magical than the moment I decided to come out.”  -Chely Wright

Hope you are all having a great week.

Quote I Love: Love as a Gift

Here’s this week’s quote I love…

“Love is always bestowed as a gift — freely, willingly, and without expectation… We don’t love to be loved; we love to love.”

-Leo Buscaglia

Isn’t it lovely?

Quote I Love: The most wonderful of all things in life

Here’s this week’s quote I love…

Yes, I’m posting another quote about love this week. I’m a hopeless romantic. I freely admit it.

“The most wonderful of all things in life is the discovery of another human being with whom one’s relationship has a growing depth, beauty and joy as the years increase. This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvellous thing; it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it. It is a sort of divine accident, and the most wonderful of all things in life.”

-Sir Hugh Walpole

Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week and that love accidentally finds you if it hasn’t already.
