“The time to read is any time: no apparatus, no appointment of time and place, is necessary. It is the only art which can be practiced at any hour of the day or night, whenever the time and inclination comes, that is your time for reading; in joy or sorrow, health or illness.”
-Holbrook Jackson
Great quote…..and if you think about it? It’s SO true…I read WHENEVER I can, happy or sad, healthy or sick. I am gonna type this up and post it by my fridge, so my boy can see it and realize reading is for ANY time. Thanks Sloan!
I love that you’re going to share this with your son, Elaine. What a great mom!!
I think one of the best things in life is to know the love of reading. I’m eternally grateful that I had parents who showed their kids the joys of reading (through their own reading habits and by always encouraging us to read whatever we were interested in). Go you, Elaine!
