- I’m learning more and more about Richard. I thought I had him all figured out in book one. Writing from his point of view in this sequel has definitely given me more to explore about him, including things that I hadn’t really considered before now.
- Whenever the very-damaged Luke opens up without being prompted, I just smile and think… Now that’s progress!
- I love when I reach that magic moment in the manuscript where a scene becomes so much more than what I’d planned in the outline. There’s more depth and meaning, and the dialogue sparks reactions and interactions that I hadn’t planned on.
- It’s been such a relief (and a surprise) that the sex and emotional scenes are still the easiest for me to draft. I was afraid writing a sequel with an existing relationship would mean I’d end up forcing the sex into the story, or that it would lack any kind of emotional punch.
- I’m really enjoying the moments where Matthew makes a comment that puts things into a new perspective for the other two.
- I adore the moments when the three men just let go and laugh together. Especially when it comes after an intense interaction.
- Richard, despite all of his strength and determination to succeed, can admit to his weaknesses and fears, and I find that very sexy.
- Revising is still a highlight of the writing process for me. I’ve gone back over the first few chapters several times now. Reworking the plot points, the characters’ actions and reactions, the dialogue, and the writing itself always gives me such a rush as the scene becomes more finalized.
- Hearing from readers who are excited to spend time with these characters again motivates me like nothing else.
- I still love writing about love. That’s fundamentally what it’s all about for me. There’s power and beauty in the briefest conversations and the smallest touches between lovers.
I really need to read this book. I have MAJOR Richard love. His character is one of my all-time favourite characters and I can’t wait :)
Thanks, Karen! I’m very honored you feel that way about Richard. I’m quite partial to him myself.
Oh I can’t wait for this book. I am a huge ménage fan and really loved More!!
I want this now. :)
Thanks so much, Mandy. Makes my day to hear that.
I love hearing about the things that you’re enjoying in the writing process. I can’t wait to be telling you how much I loved the whole reading process!!!! Very, very much looking forward to reading more about these wonderful men that you’ve brought into our lives! Suppose it would be rude to say, “Write faster!!”, huh? ; ) Keep enjoying your part and we’ll not-so-patiently wait to do our part!! Thanks for everything!!
Hi Jen. That’s not rude at all. Makes the hard writing days easier to know people are interested in seeing more with these guys. Thanks so much for your kind words. I’m plugging away on it.
I am anxiously waiting on More #2, Richards POV. I so loved the first one and is listed on my favorites on GR. I really like when a menage is well written, and this one IMO definitely done well. I felt such emotion with this story. I empathized with Luke, was turned on big time by Richard, and relished in Mathews innocence and simplicity.
Michele, that’s very kind of you. I love the way you describe your reactions to each of the three men. Thanks for sharing!
I read your entire list with a huge smile on my face. I’m *really* excited for this story!
Thanks so much, Jayne. I’m glad you enjoyed the list. I sure am enjoying working on this book.
More is one of my favorite books. I have read it over and over. The men in this book came alive for me. Not only was the sex smoking hot the emotions were real. I love when a story is so well written it feels like you are there. I am anxiously awaiting the next book and it will be on my Kindle as soon as it’s available. Thank you Sloan for a fabulous story.
You’re very welcome, Julie. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment and for the incredibly kind words about More. It means a lot to hear you enjoyed it so much. Really glad you’re looking forward to the next part of their story. I can’t wait to share it.
Thanks again!
Super excited for More #2, I read how to save a life first and just knew from the way that you wrote in that story that the story I would love the story of this unlikely threesome. Can’t wait to hear from Richards perspective.
Hi Laura. So glad you enjoyed MORE and are looking forward to another story with those guys. And it’s always nice to hear when a reader of HOW TO SAVE A LIFE found the threesome intriguing enough to try the other story. Thanks so much for letting me know and for taking the time to comment. It means a great deal to me to hear from readers.
