Video I Love: Torchwood Jack & Jack

I have yet to watch more than a couple episodes of this show (it’s on my list of things to catch up on), but I just love this scene. It’s from the episode titled “Captain Jack Harkness.” Very powerful delivery.

“Stuck in 1941, where the dance hall is being used for service personnel. Jack meets the real Captain Jack Harkness, the man whose identity Jack took after his death, which Jack learns will be the following day at a training exercise.” (read more) Watch as Captain Jack comes out of the closet and shares a public kiss.

Enjoy,

Shelter: A Lovely Gay Movie

Once a week I post about something I’m loving (tv, movies, books, art, photos, romances, authors, or anything else). So here is this week’s For the Love of…

Last week I finally had a chance to watch Shelter. I had heard enough about the film that I had no doubts it was something I’d like. And like it I did. Actually, I loved it. It’s on my favorites list for sure. A romantic story with a lovely ending. A “must see” for anyone who enjoys m/m romances.

Here’s a description and the trailer if you haven’t had a chance to check it out:

“Forced to give up his dreams of art school, Zach spends his days working a dead end job and helping his needy sister care for her son. In his free time he surfs, draws and hangs out with his best friend, Gabe, who lives on the wealthy side of town. When Gabe’s older brother, Shaun, returns home, he is drawn to Zach’s selflessness and talent. Zach falls in love with Shaun while struggling to reconcile his own desires with the needs of his family.” (source: Amazon)

Anyone else seen it? If you haven’t, I highly recommend this movie.

Video I Love: Montage of Gay Movies

Once a week, I post a video I’m loving. Here’s this week’s…

Today’s video is a montage of gay movies set to “You Look So Fine” by Garbage. Some beautiful intimate moments (warning, there’s some skin).

I like sex scenes in movies where you can see so much more than the sex. When the emotions are visceral and raw, right there for us to see.

Films included are:

Ciao
Broken Hearts Club
Dog Tags
Patrick 1,5
Shock To The System
The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life Of Ethan Green
Third Man Out

Cheers,
Sloan Parker

Video I Love: Gay Sex Scene on US Daytime TV

Once a week, I post a video I’ve seen recently that I’m loving. So here’s this week’s Video I Love …

On Wednesday December 30, the ABC soap One Life to Live became the first US soap to break the same sex barrier for an “on-screen” love scene when Oliver and Kyle spent almost two-and-a-half minutes “getting busy.” I’m not a regular viewer of the show, but I wanted to share. It’s a great scene, reminiscent of traditional, romantic love scenes (even including the traditional “after sex” shot with the blankets covering their nipples. hehehe).

Thank you to One Life to Live, ABC, Scott Evans, and Brett Claywell. Kudos!!

Wasn’t it lovely?

Video I love: Love Scene from Shelter Movie

I saw this clip from the movie Shelter recently and thought it was a nice love scene.  I have yet to see the movie, but it seems like something I’m going to like. And there have been quite a few good reviews and awards.
