The fabulous Ethan Day has interviewed me about my Rainbow Award-winning book Breathe and the moment in my own life that led me to the story.

I adore Ethan and his writing, so to hear he enjoyed Breathe was quite a thrill. Thanks for the thoughtful questions and such kind remarks about this book, Ethan!

A title & another teaser for SWEPT AWAY

I can now share my new short story’s title. It’s called “Swept Away.” I guest blogged at Michael Mandrake’s blog today about writing from a picture prompt and shared another short excerpt: http://ow.ly/5raI8

I have to say, I had fun writing in first person POV again. I’ll let you know when the story is available to read.

If you haven’t read MORE or BREATHE you can also comment at the link above for a chance to win a free ebook copy of your choice.

Hope you have a fabulous week!

Do you tumblr?

I joined tumblr the other day. Not that I needed another distraction from my writing, but this social networking site is not only a fun way to take a writing break, it also feeds the creative side of my brain with interesting visuals.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with tumblr, it’s a microblogging site where you can quickly share text, images, videos, links, quotes, and audio, as well as view the same from the people you follow. I became familiar with it from the lovely images shared by various people I follow on Twitter. I decided to join so I could share some of what inspires me and my writing. Please note: some of the images may be NSFW (not safe for work).

If you’re on tumblr, I’d love to see what you’re sharing. You can follow me at http://sloanparker.tumblr.com
