Video I Love: Lena Horne sings “Stormy Weather”

Once a week, I post a video I’m loving. Here’s this week’s…

Video embedded above. If you can’t view, try the original blog post.

“Lena Horne was a pioneering groundbreaker, making inroads into a world that had never before been explored by African-American women, and she did it on her own terms. Our nation and the world has lost one of the great artistic icons of the 20th century. There will never be another like Lena Horne and I will miss her deeply.”

Rest in peace, Ms. Horne. Your beauty and talent will live on in your work. Thank you for sharing with the world.

  1. Classy, beautiful, talented, and stood up for what she believed in, during a time when it was not “popular” she will be missed, and I can only aspire to be as true to my beliefs as she was to hers…thanks for sharing.
