Announcing new Ask Sloan Day: What do you want to know?

I’m still on a break from regular blogging, but I wanted to invite you all to my first “Ask Sloan Day” on my yahoo group this Wednesday, August 1, 2012. This is a day once a month where I encourage readers to ask me questions about my books, characters, upcoming stories, writing in general, publishing, or anything else you’d like to ask me (or my characters) about.

Want to see what questions I answer? Want to ask a question of your own? Here’s what to do:

Submit your question via the group by sending an email to this address: SloanParkerDiscussions @ yahoogroups . com (remove the spaces).
Or, you can send your question directly to me at via this form. Then on Wednesday, I’ll post the question and my responses to the group so everyone can see.

Short Blogging Hiatus

Just wanted to let everyone know I’m taking a short break from blogging while I wrap up the manuscript for How to Save a Life and get it sent in to my editor. I’m at the stage where I like to read it in large chunks several times through to check the overall consistency and look for any plot holes. At over 100,000 words that takes some time. I’ll post whenever I have some news to share and will be back to more regular blogging of the fun stuff I love sharing with you guys soon.

Prizes for July 7th M/M Reader Appreciation Giveaway

This Saturday, July 7th is another Reader Appreciation Day at the Sweet Spot Yahoo Group. It’s a day to say thank-you to the readers who support the world of M/M Romance. Some of the authors donating prizes will be stopping by to post excerpts from their donated prize and other books. The giveaway runs from 8 am – 8 pm EST. We hope you can join us.

Here’s how to enter the giveaway:

If you haven’t already, join the Yahoo Group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TheSweetSpotMM/
Watch the group page (or your email if you choose to receive emails from the group) on Saturday, July 7th for a message with instructions on how to enter. The subject of the post should read something like “Enter the Giveaway: Respond to this thread for a chance to win”
Reply to that message between 8am and 8pm EST indicating you’d like to enter the giveaway.

That’s it. You’ll be added to the drawing for your chance at a random prize. Winners will be announced via the group after the giveaway closes. Authors will be sent the winning email addresses at that time and will contact their winners directly.

Part 5 of More Than Just a Good Book & Another Giveaway

Hope you enjoy reading Mark and Scott’s continuing story. I probably won’t work on the next installment until I get the last of HOW TO SAVE A LIFE sent off to a couple people for feedback. I’ll keep you posted on the progress of both.
