I’m thinking this is the first time they’re living together as a couple. They found a new apartment so they could start their life together in a fresh space. They’ve been dating for a year. They met at a club, but now, they aren’t sorry to leave their wilder escapades behind them. They’re looking forward to quiet nights spent together, curled up on the couch watching Netflix. After they get settled in, they’ll get a dog. A rescue from a local shelter. Then six months later, they’ll get another. Their couch will be filled with four warm bodies, all cuddled together. But first… they have to head to the store to pick out the couch. Maybe after one more snuggle in their brand new apartment.

Story Inspiration: Guys in Cars
You all know I love visuals when it comes to daydreaming new story ideas. I can’t pass up thinking through the backstory behind a picture, wondering what had just happened to that person, what they could be thinking about, and what will happen next for them. Here are some of my recent photo finds:

Behind the Story: Pinterest Board and More Extras for HOW TO HEAL A LIFE
When I’m working on a book, I like using visuals to help inspire the story descriptions. I also find myself drawn to songs that I feel are a good fit for the characters and what they’re going through. You can check out my Song Playlist and Pinterest Board on the Behind the Story page of my website. (The playlist that I shared a couple of weeks ago has been updated to include additional songs.)
I’m also excited to share that HOW TO HEAL A LIFE is in the Book of the Week Poll at Love Bytes. You can check out the poll and vote here. Thanks so much for the support!
Also, a big thank-you to everyone who sent in personal notes about how much you enjoyed the book and to those who have left a review at bookstores. It all means so much to me, and the reviews really do help new books gain more visibility. Thank you! I have the best readers. Much love to you all. ❤
