Friday Photo: A Gay Romance Author’s Furniture Polish

LoveYourWood

I recently bought this new-to-me brand of furniture polish. When it came in the mail, my honey read the back label, just shook her head, and said, “Of course you’d buy this kind.”

Me: “Why?”

She handed me the tin and said, “Read the very bottom.”

I looked at the label and saw their tagline: “Love Your Wood.”

Her: “And the instructions…”

“rub onto wood in a circular motion and rejoice”

Me: “Yeah, you can’t forget the rejoicing. That’s the best part of rubbing your wood.”

Friday Photo: Should I Be Scared?

Sometimes when I’m really in the zone, writing and revising and writing and revising, I can work for hours, blocking everything else out. I forget to feed myself. And my cats. Well, it appears the cats may be forming an army to get their revenge.

They are multiplying!

By the way, I’m making great progress revising the next installment of MORE THAN JUST A GOOD BOOK. After that it’ll be off to my beta readers for review. I’ll keep you posted on when it’s available on the website.

A Research Find: Don’t Look Down!

I came across this link while I was doing some research for How to Save a Life.

“This Luxury Penthouse Bathroom Will Literally Scare the Sh*t Out of You” (hypervocal.com)

Can you imagine having to use that bathroom every day? Let’s just say this bathroom/elevator combo did not make it into my story. No one would’ve believed it.

Love this… (Yes, I’m a writer geek)

Video I Love: Oskar, which has me missing my little guy today

Okay, I’m going to get all sappy here, but I love this video. It reminds me of my own cat Jesse, whom we lost a few years ago. He had a toy puppy he absolutely loved playing with and would fearlessly do all kinds of things like jumping onto the couch not knowing what he’d encounter just so he could get to his favorite sleeping spot. If it weren’t for the occasional running into the walls or furniture, you’d have never known he was blind. And he was such a sweetheart. He just made my life so much brighter every day, and a part of me will always miss him.

Oskar (born without formed eyeballs) is the winner of the Friskies’ best cat video award.

ETA: Meant to include this one too:

My Jesse and his puppy.
