Another Preview of more from More Than Just a Good Book

Good news! I have the next installment of More Than Just a Good Book written. It’s three scenes. Just need to do some tweaks and have a couple people go over it. In the meantime, here’s another sneak peek at what’s next for Mark and Scott. And if you didn’t get a chance to check it out during the scavenger hunt, you can view a longer preview at Mary Calmes’s blog.

From Part 5, coming soon…

“What do you mean it’s been cancelled?” Mark stared at his advisor across the cramped office space and tried to process what Dr. Wolfe had just said and what it could mean.

His dissertation defense had been postponed. Indefinitely.

Dr Wolfe didn’t say anything for half a minute or so, which felt a hell of a lot longer. The man was always direct, the kind of guy who looked you in the eye and told you the truth about your work, about your potential, whether you wanted to hear it or not. He’d said on many occasions that anything other than sheer honesty only held a person back.

The hesitation wasn’t a good sign.

Finally, he spoke again. “They need to investigate an allegation before the committee will agree to meet with you.”

Can’t wait to share the rest.

Love is Always Write (an M/M Romance series)

What could be better than 150 m/m stories? 150 free m/m stories.

The M/M Goodreads group is posting another round of member stories. The event is called Love is Always Write, and it’s a great way to try out new-to-you authors and read a free story from one of your favorites too. The first story has been posted in celebration of the group’s membership passing the 6,000 members mark!

The rest of the stories will be coming in a week, two per day for the next 2.5 months. If you’re not already a member of the group, you can join here (Due to the adult content in this group, you must be at least 18 to join).

Found another song for Take Me Home’s playlist

Yes, I know, I’m writing Walter and Kevin’s story now, but this one came up on the iPod and I just knew it was a song for Evan and Kyle.

Built to Last, Melee

It’s been added to my website’s Behind The Story page for Take Me Home.

Breathe Named One of Joyfully Reviewed’s Best of 2011

I’m thrilled to share that Breathe was selected as a Joyfully Reviewed Best Romance in 2011.

Huge thanks to the reviewer Nannette for taking the time to read and review the book last year and to Joyfully Reviewed for posting their reviewers’ top picks. I was incredibly honored to see it on the Best of 2011 page alongside so many amazing authors. Also very cool to see the number of m/m books on their list.

I’d like to also thank everyone who has picked up a copy of Breathe and gave it a try. It is now my bestselling book. I am touched and grateful for each and every email and comment I get from readers about this story.

Thank you all!!

Free Story SWEPT AWAY Now Available

My latest short story “SWEPT AWAY” is now available to read at the M/M Romance Group on Goodreads. If you’re not a member you can also read it on my website or download a copy. (For those who are not members of the Goodreads group I recommend you check it out. It’s a great community for readers of m/m romance. Even if you don’t enjoy participating in book discussions there’s a lot of other entertaining and informative threads, even for lurkers, such as reading challenges, book giveaways, author release news, online retailer sales, and more.)

If you check out “SWEPT AWAY” I hope you enjoy it. It’s a romantic one dedicated to Sean who shared the photo and words that started Eddie and Mike’s story.

Blurb for Swept Away
The biggest case of Eddie’s career and nothing’s going right. He’s stuck in a stifling courtroom with the air conditioning on the fritz during the worst heat wave in years, and the judge has denied his latest motion. He just wants to spend a quiet night celebrating with his partner, Mike, on their fifteenth anniversary.

But Mike has a surprise in mind this year. A surprise that may be more than Eddie imagined possible.
