A New Year, A New Journey

This past year certainly had its ups and downs. Some days it was nearly impossible for me to even glance at the latest world news or venture onto Facebook or Twitter and see the turmoil that so many people have been living through. More than once, I was saved by turning to the world of fiction–both reading and writing it. Going along for the ride with a story’s characters is one of life’s greatest treasures for me, and that was certainly never more true than in 2017.

But this past year was also an amazing journey for me–both personally and professionally. I’ve learned so much and grown in ways I was not expecting. I’ve simplified my life, regained confidence, and found a more productive way of living and working. I couldn’t be more excited to see where this new year takes me. There has been a lot of turmoil and change in the writing and publishing world, but thanks to the support of all of you, I’m more excited than ever to share new stories in 2018.

THANK YOU to all of you who’ve read my books this past year. I’m beyond grateful to those of you who took the time to send me a private note or write a review. It means the world to me to hear from you.

I hope you all have a wonderful new year filled with much love and laughter and peace-filled days.

My first novel MORE has even reappeared as a bestseller (#2 in Gay & Lesbian Erotica at Amazon). THANK YOU, EVERYONE!

Here’s how the giveaway works:

One random winner will be selected from all who comment on this post. Additionally, for every 50 entries another gift certificate will be given away (up to a maximum of 6 total winners). All winners will have their choice from the following options:

  • Option 1: $25 gift certificate to amazon.com
  • Option 2: $25 gift certificate to barnesandnoble.com
  • Option 3: $25 gift certificate to allromanceebooks.com

For the Love of: Reader Emails

I only have a minute to post today, and I know I’ve posted on this topic before, but I wanted to give a shout of thanks out to everyone who has taken the time to write and let a romance author know when you’ve enjoyed one of their stories. Please know, authors really do appreciate the effort.

I’ve received some amazing emails lately, and no matter how often it happens, there is nothing sweeter and more rewarding than knowing when one of my stories was an enjoyable experience for someone. And even better is knowing that story touched the reader in a meaningful way. Your words of appreciation and encouragement mean more than I can say.

For the Love of: Appreciative Readers

Since the release of my first book, More, I’ve heard from many wonderful readers via email, Facebook, Twitter, various groups, blogs, and other sites. It’s amazing to me how many people take the time to let a writer know a little something about the experience of reading a book.

So today, I wanted to send out a message of thanks to everyone who takes the time to let authors know which books you’ve enjoyed and why. I can tell you, it means a lot to the writer. We spend so much time in our heads, in our writing caves, editing and polishing a story that means something special to us. For you to take a moment and offer a compliment or word of encouragement is pretty damn cool to me. Thank you, all!

Side note: I try to respond to all emails (except the obvious spam). If you send me something, and I don’t get back to you in a week or two, I probably didn’t get your message. Feel free to send again or use my contact form.
