Images are a great way for authors to get inspired when writing setting descriptions. Here are my latest “transportation” finds for my Setting Inspiration series.

CELEBRATE BLACK HISTORY MONTH – It’s amazing the things we never learned in American History class in school:

  • Meet Octavius Catto – He fought for black civil rights a century before Martin Luther King, Jr.
  • Meet Bayard Rustin – A activist for both civil rights and gay rights.
  • Meet Eugene Bullard – The only African American pilot to fly in WWI. But he never flew for the United States.
  • Meet Fannie Lou Hamer – She worked to secure social, economic, and political rights for African Americans.

Don’t Miss the Musical Allegiance

Broadway musical Allegiance returns to cinemas nationwide

“Their loyalty was questioned, their freedom taken away, but their spirit could never be broken. Rejoice in one family’s triumphant story of hope, love, and forgiveness in the new Broadway musical: Allegiance.”

After a record-breaking premiere, Allegiance returns to theaters in the U.S. on February 19th. If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend checking out this theatrical release of the Broadway musical. I absolutely loved it. Wonderful performances by the entire cast and such an important story that we must never forget.

Allegiance returns to cinemas nationwide for an encore on Sunday, February 19 at 12:55 p.m. local time. This date is the 75th anniversary of Executive Order 9066, known as the Day of Remembrance, which marked the beginning of the forced relocation and internment of 120,000 Japanese Americans during WWII.” —allegiancemusical.com

I SWEAR TO YOU is out in paperback!

He won’t run. Not this time. He swears.

My friends-to-lovers novella I SWEAR TO YOU is now available in paperback with a gorgeous new cover designed by Lou Harper. This is the first time this story appears in print. You can pick up a copy at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or CreateSpace.

I SWEAR TO YOU

When roommates Grady and Mateo give in to their growing lust, it’s the best sexual experience of their lives. But are they really gay? Is this just sex? Or is it something more? It takes time for confused Grady to figure that out, but once he does he wants all of Mateo. Too bad tracking down brokenhearted Mateo proves impossible.

Grady’s last resort is to post an online ad encouraging his friend out of hiding and back into his life. He’s sure that once he gets Mateo between the sheets he can convince him what they had together was no college experiment. But Mateo’s been hiding from something—or someone—and he has no intention of returning home.

Grady is determined to tear down all Mateo’s walls so he can find out what happened to him and help heal his wounds. In the process he’ll show his best friend that he won’t run. Not this time. He swears.

What a great guy!

Not everyone would adopt a senior dog, let alone this many (and a rabbit, a pig, and some chickens). Kudos to him for giving these animals a loving, forever home. You can also follow him and the fur babies on Instagram. He posts the most adorable photos and videos.
